What ZVT is — and why it matters

ZVT is the German standard that lets a till talk to a card terminal. That is what lets you choose and change your provider freely.

Do I have to use your payment provider?
No. This is the main difference to most POS Systems. You bring your own provider, and you keep your rates and your existing contract. We connect the terminal over ZVT, and we earn nothing on your transactions.
Does this work with the terminal I already have?
Usually yes, as long as it supports ZVT. Most devices on the German market do. We check your model before we set it up.
What is ZVT?
It is the German standard for how a till talks to a card terminal. It is open, so you are not tied to one maker or one provider. That is what lets you choose your own provider.
How are tips handled?
The tip is recorded during payment and linked to the receipt and to the waiter. At the end of the shift it is in the report. Nobody has to write anything down.
Can a guest pay part cash and part card?
Yes. The till puts the part payments together and shows them by payment type in the daily closing.

Before you ask

Yes — the Orderiom POS works with a certified TSE and is GoBD-compliant, including the export formats a tax audit asks for.

How long does setup take?

Usually a few days from the first call to going live — we do the setup for you.

Do I have to replace the till I already have?

No. You can start with the Orderiom POS, or simply add to the till you already have.

Do I pay commission on orders?

No — 0% commission to third parties, in every package, whatever the ordering channel.

What if I have several locations?

Multi-site management gives you one dashboard across every location — part of the chain package.

Can I start small and add to it later?

Yes — modules can be added one at a time, with no forced package change.
